Tour Description

This is a carefully curated expedition into the hinterlands of Kerala to give you a peek into the rural life in coastal Kerala. Kerala is riddled with quaint villages, each village unique from the next village yet holding certain things that are common. On this tour we take you outside the hustle and bustle of Kochi into a fishing village, where our expedition manager will introduce you to the nitty-gritties of the fishing economy, and an insight into the life and livelihood of the local fishermen. On most days you will be able to witness a live fish auction which makes the place to brim with life! We meet a local family from whom you can understand the nuances of a rural household and get a taste of some local food! You can also try your hands at fishing the Keralan way at the fish farm! We take the freshly caught fish to the local family where you will have the opportunity to peek inside the kitchen for a cooking demo followed by lunch with the family. We also get to explore around the village and see how the village is structured and get acquainted with the essence of the life of these people. What we have to offer on our Village Rubble experience is sum total of life in a village which includes exposure to fishing from the sea, from the backwater and from fish farms and how the life of the people revolves around it. The program in its entirety is of 12-14 hours; however, we have made programs of smaller durations to suit your needs. You can experience the Village Rubble program either on bicycles or on Auto Rikshaws. The details of each of the small program is given as below.
