We booked a morning cycle ride round the back streets of Kochi via our homestay host. Our private tour with Girish was one of the highlights of our stay in Kochi. We had good quality bikes, helmets and hi-viz jackets and felt very safe. Our tour took our through the back streets and alleyways of Kochi and we learnt lots about the culture and customs of Kochi. We loved meeting the “cat man” who goes to market every day to bring fish back for a little group of stray kitties. Girish took us to a cafe to drink chai and try Indian snacks, including jalebi, which we would never have felt confident enough to do on our own (two fifty-something sisters). We had a packed itinerary and wished we could have spent longer exploring. We highly recommend this bike tour and Girish was a fantastic guide.

Embarking on an easy going 12km round trip tour of the town, the wonderful Garesh guides you around the waking scenes of this beautiful place, with the smiling faces of the locals in their morning routines greeting you at each turn. Getting up and out early allows you to see the real Kochin, and you start to realise very quickly why it is such a special place. With a pit stop for some delicious traditional breakfast bites and some other surprises, coupled with the wealth of knowledge Garesh holds on the area, this insightful and greatly stimulating tour leaves you feeling light, content, and refreshed, ready to take on the rest of the day.
